Privacy Policy

Welcome to Go With Jo Fitness. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you visit our website, purchase our products, interact with us on social media, or use our services.

1. Who We Are +

Go With Jo Fitness is operated by Joanna Olivier.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your personal data is handled, please contact: joanna@gowithjofitness.com

2. What Law Applies +

Our use of your personal data is governed by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We process personal data in accordance with these laws.

3. What Personal Data We Collect +

We may collect personal data such as your name, email address, billing information, IP address, browser/device information, and any information you provide when contacting us, purchasing a product, or using our services.

If you choose to provide fitness- or health-related information, this may be treated as special category data.

4. Special Category Data +

Special category data is sensitive personal data that requires extra protection.

If you voluntarily provide fitness- or health-related information, we will only process it where necessary to provide our services and where we have a valid lawful basis and, where required, your explicit consent.

5. Legal Bases for Processing +

We process your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract — to deliver products or services you purchase.

Legitimate interests — to operate, improve, protect, and secure our website, services, and business.

Consent — where you have clearly agreed, for example for marketing emails or certain sensitive data.

Legal obligation — where we are required to keep or disclose data by law.

6. Data We Collect Automatically +

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring pages, date/time of access, and pages viewed.

This helps us maintain website functionality, improve performance, and protect the security of our site.

7. Cookies +

We use cookies and similar technologies to ensure our website functions correctly and to improve user experience.

Where required by law, non-essential cookies are only used with your consent. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any cookie banner/preferences tool we use.

8. Data You Provide Directly +

If you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, and message content so we can respond to your enquiry.

If you purchase a product, we collect the information needed to process and fulfil your order.

If you choose to provide personal information while using our services, we will process it only as necessary to deliver those services.

9. Payments +

Payments are processed securely by third-party providers such as Stripe and/or PayPal.

We do not store or have access to your full payment card details.

10. Processors and Service Providers +

We use trusted third-party service providers to help run our business, including website hosting, sales page delivery, email marketing, digital product delivery, payment processing, cloud hosting, automation, moderation, and AI-assisted communication tools.

For example, our website, sales pages, email communications, and digital product delivery may be managed through systeme.io, which acts as a processor on our behalf.

We may also use providers such as Meta Platforms (for Facebook and Instagram interactions), Cloudflare (for secure hosting, webhook handling, and infrastructure), and OpenAI or similar AI processing providers (to help review, categorise, moderate, and draft or generate replies to comments or enquiries).

These providers only process personal data to the extent reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf, and we take steps to use providers we consider appropriate for security and reliability.

11. Marketing Communications +

If you opt in to marketing, we may send you emails about our products, resources, updates, and offers.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly.

12. Social Media +

We maintain a presence on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

If you interact with us there, both we and the relevant platform may process your data. Please also review the privacy policies of those platforms.

13. Facebook Comment Reply App +

We may use a Facebook Page comment management and reply tool in connection with our Facebook Page.

When you interact with us by commenting on our Facebook Page, we may receive and process limited data made available through Meta platforms, such as your name or public profile identifier, comment text, comment ID, post ID, page ID, media-related identifiers, and other information reasonably necessary to identify, review, moderate, and reply to comments.

This data is used only to manage Page interactions, provide manual, automated, or AI-assisted replies, improve moderation workflows, support customer service, and help us identify spam, abusive, irrelevant, or duplicate comments.

To operate this workflow, we may use trusted service providers such as Meta Platforms, cloud hosting providers, automation tools, and AI processing tools acting on our behalf.

We do not sell or rent this data. We keep it only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, troubleshoot, improve, and secure the comment reply workflow, or as otherwise required by law.

If you would like to request deletion of data related to your interaction with this Facebook comment reply tool, please contact: joanna@gowithjofitness.com

14. Instagram Comment and Messaging Tools +

We may use tools connected to our Instagram professional account to help manage comments, replies, and business-related messaging.

When you interact with us on Instagram, including by commenting on our posts, replying to content, or contacting us through supported messaging features, we may receive and process limited data made available through Meta platforms, such as your Instagram username or public profile identifier, comment or message content, comment ID, media ID, account-related identifiers, timestamps, and other information reasonably necessary to identify, review, moderate, and respond to those interactions.

This data is used only to manage Instagram interactions, provide manual, automated, or AI-assisted replies, improve moderation workflows, support customer service, and help us detect spam, abusive, irrelevant, or duplicate activity.

To operate this workflow, we may use trusted service providers such as Meta Platforms, cloud hosting providers, automation tools, and AI processing tools acting on our behalf.

We do not sell or rent this data. We keep it only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, troubleshoot, improve, and secure the Instagram communication workflow, or as otherwise required by law.

If you would like to request deletion of data related to your interaction with our Instagram comment or messaging tools, please contact: joanna@gowithjofitness.com

15. International Transfers +

Some of our service providers may process or store personal data outside the UK.

Where this happens, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as contractual protections and other lawful transfer mechanisms where required.

16. Data Retention +

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, tax, accounting, and reporting requirements.

Some records may be kept for up to six years where required for legal or financial reasons.

17. Data Security +

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including restricted access and secure systems where appropriate.

While no system can guarantee complete security, we take appropriate steps to safeguard the information we hold.

18. Minors +

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

19. Automated Decision-Making +

We may use limited automation tools, filters, and AI-assisted systems to help organise, moderate, and reply to enquiries or comments more efficiently.

However, we do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

20. Your Rights +

Under UK GDPR, you have rights including the right to:

access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis.

To exercise these rights, contact: joanna@gowithjofitness.com

21. Complaints +

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern directly.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of those third-party sites.
